Habitat comments: "The impacts of tourism in the Park are enormous... The original vegetation... was the Acadian forest, which was characterized by the presence of such species as sugar maple (Acer saccharum), red maple (Acer rubrum), and trembling aspen (Populus tremuloides)... typical Acadian forests have disappeared... The study area consisted of various forest fragments" no larger than 5.64 ha
climate data are based on Vigneault et al. (OttawaGeo2007) and are for Charlottetown

Sampling comments: "This study was carried out from May to October 1998... a trapping grid representing approximately 9–10% of the area covered by the whole fragment was established... Sherman trap stations (one trap per station) were placed at 10-m intervals and baited with sunflower seeds. Also, pitfall traps made of plastic bottles (≈15 cm in diameter) were placed in holes about 50 cm deep within trapping grids... Each forest fragment was trapped for 3 consecutive days. During the study period, there were four trapping sessions"
1935 Sherman trap nights and 480 pitfall trap nights
